The Home Collection is Charlotte's boutique provider of furnished residences for short- and long-term stays. We offer dozens of different furnished apartments condominiums, and single family houses, including many in the premier neighborhoods of Myers Park, Dilworth and Elizabeth/Plaza Midwood.

All of our furnished apartments are located in walkable, in-town neighborhoods less than 2 miles from Uptown Charlotte and less than 8 miles from the airport.

The light rail or streetcar is a pretty 10-15 minute walk from all of our properties, providing easy and convenient access to Uptown.

  • Our locations are unsurpassed in Charlotte's finest, in-town neighborhoods. Explore the many parks, restaurants and locally-owned shops that are within aneasy walk, along wide sidewalks under shady willow oak trees.
  • We create warm, comfortable spaces which offer a true home away from home, with a mix of new, mid-century modern and antique furniture. We feature original artwork and live plants in all of our homes.
  • Most of our residences feature outdoor spaces, either a screened porch or a balcony, and seven of our furnished apartments have a fireplace.
  • All of our furnished apartments are spotlessly clean.Your hosts are readily accessible if you need anything at all. We provide multiple contact numbers, so you'll always be able to get in touch with a member of our management team. Our maintenance staff is on call 24/7 to deal with any issues that may arise.
  • You'll live like a local, experiencing Charlotte as a resident rather than a tourist.
With more than twice the space of a hotel room, we offer superior accommodations, luxurious furnishings, a fully-equipped chef's kitchen, comfortable living and dining areas and unbeatable locations at prices comparable to an upscale hotel. Most of our furnished apartments offer outside space, either a balcony or screened porch, to enjoy Charlotte's beautiful weather.

In addition, we offer a local's perspective on our city, helping to create a memorable experience for your stay, insight that the best concierge can't offer. You'll be living in a centrally located, walkable neighborhood, with a tremendous number of sights to see, right from your doorstep.

We have a dedicated, professional and experienced housekeeping team that has been with our company since its inception, so our cleaners know every nookand cranny in each of our residences.
We follow a detailed, 73-point cleaning checklist to ensure each residence is spotlessly clean. All duvet covers are laundered prior to each guest arrival. Doorknobs, remote controls, light switches and other frequently touched areas are sanitized regularly. A deep cleaning is performed on a regular basis, and we keep records of all cleaning activities should follow-up be needed.
After each residence is cleaned, one of the managers of our company personally performs a “white glove” inspection prior to our guests' arrival to ensure everything is in perfect shape.

Our accommodations are perfect for a wide variety of guests. Over the years, we've hosted:

  • Consultants in town for projects—we offer highspeed wifi and desks in all of our residences
  • Girls weekends—catch up with friends you've not seen in ages
  • Grandparents-to-be—be nearby to help with a new grandchild, but not on top of the new family
  • Home renovators—a temporary place while renovating your home, refinishing floors, etc.
  • Insurance claims–guests whose homes become uninhabitable due to fire, flood or other damage
  • Vacationers—great value for families!
  • Hospital patients and their families—several of our residences are less than a mile from the major hospitals, ideal for those who need to be nearby for rehab, transplants, etc.
  • Traveling Physicians

All of our guests appreciate the comfortable and well-designed spaces our residences offer. Our guests are professionals who enjoy quiet surroundings and a restful night's sleep, so our accommodations aren't suited for those up late at night.

Our Magnolia Green #1 is a ground-floor apartment, with parking just outside of the apartment, and no steps to climb to enter the apartment. There is a small threshold as you enter the apartment. The tub has a lower step-over than most. We recommend it for those with limited mobility.

Our 510 101 apartment is also a ground-floor apartment, with an accessible shower.

 

Booking

 

Our rates typically range from $119/night plus tax to $319/night plus tax, depending on the particular residence, time of year, etc.
Rates may be higher during special events, holidays and other periods of high demand. Rates are typically lower in January and early February.
We offer discounts for weekly and monthly stays.
Up-to-date nightly, weekly and monthly rates are always shown on our booking calendar.
The rates listed on our website are our standard rates, and as with hotels, our rates change depending on the time of year, special events, etc. Our booking calendar is always up-to-date with correct rates, minimum stay requirements and availability.
Yes! We welcome long-term guests! The rates for weekly and monthly stays are reduced from our nightly rates, and are shown on our booking calendar. For stays of 91 nights or longer, we're not required to charge sales and occupancy tax, a total of 15.25%.
We often have discounts for last-minute bookings, typically within 5-7 days of arrival, and these will appear on the booking calendar. Our minimum stay requirements may also be relaxed for last-minute stays. Since our weekly and monthly rates are already discounted, last-minute discounts only apply to reservations of less than 7 nights.

Our Queens Terrace and Hermitage Court furnished apartments are less than a mile to the front door of Carolinas Medical Center (Levine Children's Hospital) and a half mile to Novant Presbyterian and Mercy Hospital. We're right around the corner from the Ronald McDonald house.

Our Magnolia Green building is a little over a mile from CMC. Our residences are a perfect place for after-surgery rehab, or as a comfortable home while a loved one is in the hospital. Check with us for medical discounts which may be available.

Our residences stay fairly well-booked, so it's often difficult to schedule a time to see a particular residence, but we'll do our best to show you any available residences we might have that are vacant.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. All of our booking is done through our website.
Per NC law (G.S. 105-164.4(a)(3)), rental accommodations in North Carolina are subject to sales and occupancy tax for any rentals of 90 nights or less. In Mecklenburg County, the current sales tax rate is 7.25% and the occupancy tax rate is 8%. This tax is the same amount you'd pay when staying in any hotel, inn or B&B in Charlotte.

Unfortunately we are unable to hold a property without a confirmed reservation.

If cancelled more than 5 days prior to arrival, you will receive a full refund for your stay. We are unable to provide any refund if the reservation is canceled within 5 days of arrival.

 

Arrival and Departure

 

All of our residences offer an automated lock for easy access. Prior to arrival, you will receive your check in instructions, with guest-specific codes. Each guest is provided a brand new code for safety purposes, which resets as soon as it hits 11:00 am on your day of check out. This code will work for you through your entire stay, and you’re welcome to share it with any other guests you plan on hosting. Should you arrive late to the property, that’s no problem! Your code will be ready and waiting for you.
Our check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 11am. We can sometimes accommodate a late check-out, less often early check-ins. Payment of half the daily rate can extend your check-out time until 4pm, depending on availability. Please ask, and we'll do our best to accommodate you! The sooner we know about an early check-in/late check-out, the more likely we can accommodate your request.
Not a thing! We'll take care of all cleaning, etc.

 

Locations and Neighborhoods

 

All of our properties are located within 2 miles of Charlotte's central business district, which we call “Uptown”. The airport is 8 miles or less away from all of our furnished apartments, SouthPark (upscale shopping mall) 5 miles or less, and there is easy interstate access. Our residences are located in the following neighborhoods, and more detailed information is found under the “Our Neighborhoods” tab here:

Myers Park—a National Historic District
Our Queens Terrace building is located in the Myers Park neighborhood, at 500 Queens Rd., where streetcars originally traveled in the median directly in front of the building. The landscaped median is now lined with flowering Cherry trees, making it especially scenic in the spring. The neighborhood is home to prominent Charlotteans, including many descendants of Charlotte's founders, and is arguably the finest neighborhood in the city.

Our Hermitage Court condominiums are situated in a building at 600 Hermitage Court. The street is a designated historic district within Myers Park, and most of the homes on the quiet street, some dating from 1911, still retain much of their architectural character.

It may be hard to believe you're still in Meyers Park when you see 510 Queens. Nico Amortegui, the Charlotte-famous artist, completed the mural that covers three sides of the eye-catching, 10-unit apartment building. Each unit at 510 Queens has a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and all of the comforts needed for your stay.

Dilworth-a designated Historic District
Our Magnolia Green building is located at 800 Magnolia Ave., in historic Dilworth. One of the most walkable neighborhoods in the entire city, the neighborhood is ideal for those without a car. The neighborhood dates from the early 1900's and the residences are a mix of craftsman bungalows and stately homes situated along curving streets, with Charlotte's signature tree canopy above. An incredibly diverse array of restaurants, from Thai to Peruvian to vegan to Indian are within an easy walk. Elizabeth/Plaza Midwood
Elizabeth is the second-oldest neighborhood outside of Charlotte's Uptown, started in 1891. Wonderful old homes make up the area surrounding our Hawthorne building, located at 536 Hawthorne Lane. Independence Park, one of the city's oldest, with a reflecting pool, rose garden, tennis courts and tree-lined paths, is 2 blocks away. A multitude of restaurants, from casual pubs to fine dining, is within an easy walk. The nightlife and shopping of Plaza Midwood is a half mile walk away.

The Milton building is comprised of 8 recently renovated apartments located in the heart of Elizabeth. Elizabeth is a safe, central, and convenient neighborhood that provides easy access to downtown and is within walking distance of Independence Park, restaurants, and entertainment on 7th st.

No!! All of our properties have great access to public transportation, and are less than 8 miles/15 minutes from the airport, so many of our guests don't bring or rent a car during their stay.

Our Magnolia Green building in Dilworth is a block away from a full-service grocery store, and within an easy walk of 40+ restaurants, many locally-owned shops, neighborhood pubs, two yoga studios, 3 parks and a seasonal farmers market. A frequently served bus stop is ½ block away and a light rail stop is a 15 minute walk. The bus takes about 10 minutes to Uptown (with a stop at the convention center) and about 15 minutes in the other direction to upscale shopping at SouthPark mall. Our guests in town for conventions enjoy the convenience of taking light rail or the bus and avoiding high parking fees Uptown.

All 3 of our Myers Park buildings are within a mile of a grocery store (1/2 mile to a deli/market) and an easy walk to dozens of restaurants and shops, many upscale, a movie theater that shows independent films, a seasonal farmers market, several small “pocket” parks and a greenway trail. The streetcar stop is 10 minutes away, and the streetcar goes Uptown every 15 minutes.

 

Features and Amenities

 

Ample off-street parking is provided at all of our Myers Park buildings, and our Magnolia Green building in Dilworth. Our Queens Terrace building has a large private lot adjacent to the building. A covered space is provided for each unit at our Hermitage Court building. There is reserved parking in the private lot next to our Magnolia Green building. For our Hawthorne Lane building, there is ample and unrestricted street parking available directly next to the property.
Yes, all of our residences have a washer and dryer within the residence (including detergent), as well as a dishwasher (including detergent). You can see our other amenities, including hair dryer, iron/ironing board, etc., under the “Amenities” tab on the right side of our home page.
All of our kitchens are fully equipped to prepare anything from a simple weeknight dinner to a gourmet meal. All have gas ranges/cooktops, with convection ovens in our Queens Terrace and Hermitage Court residences. If you need anything not included on this list, let us know! Items in each kitchen include:

We’re happy to make that accommodation for you. To make this request, please text our team at +1-980-999-2128 and we will have this setup for you upon your arrival. There is an associated charge of $35 per setup change.
400 thread-count linens for all beds, thick Egyptian cotton towels, all utilities, wideband highspeed wifi, a fully-equipped kitchen and a welcome package for all of our guests. Tax is added to the nightly rate, as is a one-time cleaning fee which varies by unit. Maid service for longer-term stays can be included for an additional charge.
Our minimum stay varies depending on season, the particular residence and our overall occupancy. In general, there is at least a 2-night minimum stay during the week and a 3-night minimum stay over weekends. These minimums can be greater during holidays, peak seasons and special events. Our booking calendar indicates the minimum stay for each residence.
Well-behaved, quiet pets are allowed in most of our properties with a pet fee, which you can select during the booking process. Due to insurance issues, aggressive/vicious breeds are not allowed (ie Pit Bulls, Dobermans, Rottweilers, etc.) Many of our neighborhood restaurants have patios that welcome dogs.
Children love the uniqueness of our accommodations, and all of our residences are appropriate for children, though none are “child proof”. We offer pack-n-plays, cribs and highchairs for a nominal fee. There are many parks within an easy walk of all of our properties, making them ideal for kids, and the sidewalks throughout the neighborhoods provide a safe way to explore the surroundings.
We don't collect a damage deposit, but a $500 preauthorization will be placed on the credit card on file to cover any damage. The hold will be automatically released assuming no damage.  Any damage will be charged to the card, including damage in excess of $500.
We love helping our guests make the most of their visit! We truly enjoy sharing our city with visitors, and often have the inside scoop on the best things to do in town. When you stay with us, you'll live like a local! Whether it's the best massage in town, the most happening restaurants, or magnificent art openings, we're here to help!

Our guests have a wide range of interests, including the arts, horticulture, outdoor pursuits, live music and nightlife, and we'll be able to point you in the right direction no matter where your interests lie. If we can't make a personal recommendation, in all likelihood we know someone who can.
